Ovarian Cancer
Every year, 6,800 new cases of ovarian cancer are discovered in the UK, and there are about 4,650 deaths per year caused by the ovarian cancer. About 50 percent of ovarian cancer patients are already at an advanced stage by the time a correct diagnosis is made. It has been observed that the majority of women with epithelial ovarian cancer are not diagnosed early enough. Note that radiation is rarely used in ovarian cancer treatment. In most instances, different kinds of anticancer drugs are prescribed in combination in order to speed up ovarian cancer treatment.
