I was at Wal-Mart with my one and a half year old granddaughter and her two and a half year old brother. Without any warning my granddaughter started smiling and waving while saying hello to everyone we walked passed. No one seemed to notice her eager greetings, as if her little welcoming voice wasn't enough to pull them out of their busy schedule.

I smiled at her enthusiasm and warm welcome to the people around us. I thought about how different our world would be if all of us could express our joy like a little child. A child who was living her life right now without the dismal clutter human beings carry around on their shoulders.

In today's society we are constantly bombarded with devastating disasters, disputes that lead to war, and the reality of serious debilitating diseases. It consumes us and so we become numb to their existence. It is not until it strikes someone we know that we stop what we are doing and think about how fragile life can be. Sometimes it takes coming face to face with cancer before we begin to understand that in an instant everything about our world can come crashing down all around us.

If God loves people why do some people get life threatening diseases in their twenties? A cancer that produces tumors, which eat away at their very life, leaving them in excruciating pain. A cancer that is fought with every drug necessary only to leave the person lifeless and crumpled into a swollen empty shell of nothingness.

In disbelief friends and relatives who had lost years of communicating with this person suddenly stream into hospitals to pay their last respect to a near death man. Questions arise in their minds why him and not me?

Death in this world can shake the belief system of a strong healthy man bringing him to his knees as to why this would happen to his best friend. It can have an irreversible effect on mothers and fathers who see a once vibrant and strong son die leaving them behind instead of the other way around. It has an impact that makes a person stop what they are doing and reflect on why they were born into this world in the first place!

If the only reason for our being is to raise a family and live a good life then why do people die young? A wasted life, where a person was taken so young that he never experienced fatherhood, can shock our senses and make us look to God for answers.

In our desire to find answers to life's hard questions we search for a relationship with the invisible God. Searching for the unseen is as great a mystery as understanding why we live on earth where there are so many bad things that can destroy people's lives. Why are we here? Why did my friend die of cancer? If there is a God, why would He allow my son to die so young?

In the beginning our world was once perfect without pain or fear, but everything changed when Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan. Satan persuaded them to desire the knowledge between good and bad. Immediately, Adam and Eve were cast out of the perfect garden of Eden in order to be tested in ways that would allow them to understand why God's way is better than Satan's way.

Their actions were the start of a different world composed of opposites. A world where we became the players in the world game of life. A life game that demanded that we make choices from the testing we experienced through real life situations for either good or evil.

Because evil was allowed into the world child baring became hard, but the desire for sex became heightened in order to assure the creation of life. This is the reason why marriage became necessary in order to establish strong families that would teach their children about God. This also is the reason why sex was perverted and how it opened our eyes to the evils of rape, incest and adultery.

Another thing that happened was the land became cursed and food no longer just appeared, now Adam had to cultivate the land and pull the weeds. This made man develop technologies that lead to building civilizations and establishing cultures dividing the world into opposing countries. Continents came into being and as a result civilizations fought each other over land.

Cain killed Abel to show us how evil murder was. Because a man could kill another man, wars sprang up teaching men the difference between godly societies and evil countries. Laws formed giving us instructions on how to govern and live with each other in peace.

Genesis 4:25&26, "Adam and his wife had another son. She said, 'God has given me a son to replace Abel, whom Cain killed.' So she named him Seth. Seth had a son whom he named Enosh. It was then that people began using the Lord’s holy name in worship."

From the moment of the murder, Cain became Satan's pawn for evil as if he were on an invisible chess board. A chess board where the opposing force was Seth who chose to fight for God and good. Looking at our world as a game opens our eyes to human suffering. Human death shows us how great the stakes are when we are in a world game and how each life has a purpose that is greater than the seen.

Being made with freewill gives us the ability to make choices in the game of life. Acknowledging God versus Satan, opens our lives to the invisible world of angels that navigate us through life's dramas so we might gain revelations over good versus bad.

Genesis 28: 12, "He dreamed that he saw a stairway reaching from earth to heaven, with angels going up and coming down on it."

Everything about life shows us why bad things happen to people. There must be disease in order to teach us that it is bad. There must be factions fighting against each other so we can understand why war is evil. In order to gain revelation we must be faced with tests that open our eyes to the real purpose behind our world and why God gave us life in an corrupt world.

A young man or woman dies of cancer in order for others to gain a revelation they would not have understood. It inspires people to fight for causes that lead to breast cancer awareness and regular exams in order to fight the disease. It challenges young and old to donate time and money to foundations that invent cancer fighting drugs and new technologies. It directs people to build hospitals that are established to fight against evil diseases that attack children.

Because some good people give their lives in the fight against cancer other people are saved. When you live in a world that is filled with so much evil you must have God on your side in order to win your game of life. God is love and He is the author of everything that is good. God did not invent cancer, Satan did!

God inspires people to fight against disease by becoming doctors and spiritual healers. He builds societies that give human beings rights to a good life. He brings order through establishing democracies in a world that is in chaos, because He loves people.

Satan wants to destroy a person's life. He infiltrates the world with sickness and disease in order to destroy lives. He inspires wars in evil countries. He is the author of everything that hurts people.

Understanding the purpose behind our world teaches us to love our friends and family members that are sick. It fills us with compassion and gives our lives purpose. Noticing the smiles of a small child can ease the burden of the challenges we face in life and give us a welcome relief.

Jesus came to the world to save people. He came to heal the sick and feed the hungry. He came to show people that love comes through peace.

No one can come to God unless he comes like a little child. For to know God is to believe without seeing. It is to love without knowing. It is to give without receiving anything in return. The wave and greeting of a small child is a bright light for a dark world.

Deciphering a blessing from a curse isn't always as clear-cut as it may seem. At least that's true for women who have been told that they carry one of the most potentially deadly genetic mutations -- one of the BRCA, or breast cancer genes, associated with an unusually high risk of the disease. While the discovery of the BRCAs are promising -- eventually leading, hopefully, to prevention as medical science advances -- deciding what to do after finding out one has tested positive can be just as difficult as wondering.

"It's taking over my mind," said Deborah Linder, 33, a medical resident at Northwestern University who tested positive.*

For many with high family incidences of breast cancer, the tendency was simply known as "the family curse." Now, at least "the curse" has a name scientists can validate with a term more specific than "family history." But treatment options are varied, and each comes with its own risks.

The majority of those who receive news that they carry the gene opt to have both ovaries removed, which reduces risks of both breast cancer and the often-associated ovarian cancer. About a third have a preventative mastectomy performed, which decreases the likelihood of the disease by ninety percent, and a few prefer to take prophylactic anti-cancer drugs. Still others opt for herbs and natural means of prevention, and even more decide vigilant surveillance is all that's necessary, which can include frequent MRIs (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), mammograms, and sonograms. Yet mammograms and ultrasounds can miss half of cancers in young women, who tend to have denser breasts.

The presence of BRCA1 raises the risk of developing breast cancer anywhere from sixty to ninety percent. An estimated 250,000 American women carry it, though only 30,000 have actually been tested. According to the American Cancer Society, twenty-six percent of new cancer diagnoses are of the breast, and in Texas alone, 2,480 women are expected to die of it this year. Many more will be diagnosed.. In the Lone Star state, breast cancer is the third leading cancer diagnosis, topped only by lung and colon/rectal. Other risk factors, such as obesity, also run high in Texas. Twenty-seven percent of state residents are obese, and new studies on children in Dallas, Austin, and Houston reveal a trend that may still further increase that number.

Such statistics, combined with an overwhelming lack of health coverage -- twenty-five percent of the state as a whole, and twenty-seven percent of its young adults are living without health insurance -- makes facing the issue that much harder for Texan women.

The majority of breast cancer cases, in fact, are not associated with the presence of a BRCA gene. Only five to ten percent are. But stillis the possibility of personal risk being almost twice that of non-carriers worth finding out? Is reducing the chance of getting the disease worth losing the opportunity to have children or breastfeed, which, in itself, would decrease the cancers' likelihoods?

I know the joy that my girls have brought to me, Deborah's mother, a breast cancer survivor, said. If Deb misses it, she wont know what she missed. But having experienced it, I would never have wanted to miss it. Yet, she, too was torn. "Have the surgery as soon as possible," she told her daughter one day after finding out others in her family were diagnosed at the same age as Deborah.*

The question becomes even more complex when one considers that new treatment options may be just around the corner. While the chances of surviving breast cancer are good if detected early, ovarian cancer, which attacks fifty percent of BRCA1 carriers, is deadly seventy-five percent of the time. A new study, published this month in Clinical Cancer Research, revealed that a protease inhibitor used to treat HIV patients may also be useful in treating drug-resistant cancers, including breast cancer. Marketed under the brand name Viracept, nelfinavir proved to have the most powerful effect on tumor growth of six protease inhibitors in laboratory experiments. The drug is currently in Phase 1 of clinical trials for cancer treatment.

Would young women, then, who have been told they carry the genetic mutation, be wise to wait for better detection and treatment methods? It would seem that the science of detecting the presence of the disease is not nearly as advanced as the science of predicting its possibility. It's impossible to know so early on; only more time (years more) will yield the statistics necessary to determine the success rates for different prophylactic options.

If you ask Dr. Patrick I. Borgen, the director of the Brooklyn Breast Cancer Project at the Maimonides Cancer Center, who has performed several preventative mastectomies, he might advise to say goodbye to a part of the body in exchange for saving a life. "Maybe [BRCA carriers'] grandchildren will have better options, but right now a draconian operation is the best thing we can do"

Being aware of your risk factors is an important aspect of taking care of yourself. How you do so will certainly affect you as you age, and eventually your wallet, as well. There is good news for sufferers of BHP (Benign Hypertrophy of the Prostate) and other prostate conditions - new laser treatments are available that have significantly less side effects than the previous treatments (TURP/TUNA), and much shorter recovery durations. In addition, the new laser techniques are ideal for patient who are on blood thinning medications - a not uncommon coincidence, as both conditions tend to crop up in men over fifty.

There are two competing laser technologies for prostate treatments - you should understand the differences: the Holmium (YAG) laser, and PVP (KPT) laser (otherwise known as "Green Light".) The differences between the two are in the wavelength of the lasers used, and the nature of the energy transmitted to the tissues.

PVP LASER (Green Light)

The PVP (KPT) laser has a somewhat long wavelength that penetrates the tissue more deeply - in fact, the energy penetrates more deeply than it ablates (removes). The consequence is that unablated remaining tissue has been affected by the laser. The result can be a phenomenon known as necrosis of the affected tissue: the remaining tissue dies and may require further treatment of other means to remove, down the line.

This can be a serious side effect. Because of the higher possibility of necrosis, PVP is not recommended for larger prostate conditions. It is considered viable for smaller prostates.

HOLMIUM LASER

The Holmium (YAG) laser has a shorter wavelength and penetrates less deeply than the PVP. Energy from the laser is imparted only to the the tissue that is ablated (removed). As a result, there is no necrosis concern.

In a discussion comparing the two technologies (for HoLAP application)[1], a panel of noted urlogists universally concluded the Holmium laser to be preferable to. the PVP laser.

HoLEP - ENUCLEATION OF THE PROSTATE

With the Holmium laser, it is now possible to completely remove the prostate with minimal side effects. This is called enucleation. The prostate is completely detached with fine (2-3mm) laser instruments, and passed through a pair of incisions in the bladder. It is then sectioned, and the sections are brought into the bladder through the incisions, where they are broken up into passable bits (the bits are passed through the catheter.)

This is becoming the new "gold standared" treatment, replacing the TURP procedure in many advanced urological centers. Side effects are minimal, and, according to one study[2], sexual function (ability to gain and maintain an erection) may actually increase, depending on the nature of prior dysfunction, if any.

WHERE TO GO?

One consideration is going overseas for treatment. HoLEP is available in at least one group of urolotical hospitals located in India, using exactly the same procedures and equipment as in major US facilities. Costs overseas can be significantly less than that in the US.

Interested in becoming more happy and successful? Cancer Survivors have obviously been through one of the hardest tests life can throw us and this article has some surprising information from them that you can use to move your life ahead today.

According to a USA TODAY/Kaiser Foundation/Harvard study, 63 percent of cancer survivors say the disease changed their lives in some positive way. Some of the positive changes listed were such things as a renewed sense of confidence, a greater appreciation for their own endurance, a questioning of their priorities and an increase in their coping abilities.

As a motivational expert specializing in fast results, I think there are valuable lessons for all of us to learn from the terrible ordeal cancer survivors have gone though and how they changed.

The first lesson we can learn from this is to appreciate each day that is given us and live each day to the fullest, since none of know what tomorrow may bring.

Another lesson we can learn is that avoiding adversity is not always the best strategy in terms of our self development. Many times we only grow by going through the sometimes painful process of trying new things, and facing new challenges. Many times these things show us we can do things we thought we couldn’t do, or give us new knowledge and skills that take us to a new level in life. The same can be said for coping skills. The more we successfully cope with, the more we know we can handle and therefore we have lower levels of anxiety and stress, as we know we can handle things.

Going through adversity also increases our self-confidence and our happiness with what we have. If you can look back on a struggle to get what you have, such as an educational achievement, or mastering a skill, that new skill means more to us and we have a sense of pride in what we did and a belief we can tackle more in our lives. Also we enjoy what we obtained through adversity more than something we have that seemed easily obtained. Some people, who are gifted in an area, do not enjoy their achievements in that area, because it seems so easy to them. It is said that Marlon Brando looked down on acting and actors, even though he was a gifted actor himself, because it came easy to him.

So begin to gradually increase the amount of adversity you have in your daily life, but focus that increased adversity in areas that match your goals in life. For instance if you seek higher income, gradually increase the training and work you put in on the steps needed to produce more income. As you reach one goal, keep the pressure and momentum going and move on to one or more new goals, but don’t forget to acknowledge your progress and give yourself a small reward at each success.

Business and Life Coach Theresa Smith stresses that we need balance in our lives if we want to reduce stress and enjoy our lives. The sorting out of priorities the cancer survivors did, probably result in a change in the balance they had in their lives between work, family, relationships and so on. Make sure you do the same.

So take the lessons cancer survivors have shared with us and put them into use today. You will move towards having increased self-confidence, happiness and begin to move your life to a new level.

Battling cancer on its own is an extremely trying event in anyones life and the lives of their families. If you had already owned a term life insurance policy before you developed cancer, you might have had the opportunity to use the accelerated death benefit to help offset the cost of your cancer treatments as well as other medical bills.

However, now that you have been given a clean bill of health as a cancer survivor, perhaps your term life insurance company chose not to renew your policy or decided to drastically raise your term life insurance premiums. All of a sudden it is a struggle to find affordable coverage since you are now considered an impaired risk. Impaired risks are not only people with pre-existing medical conditions or chronic health problems such as diabetes or high blood pressure, but also those who develop cancer, those addicted to drugs or alcohol and even those who have been convicted of a felony. Those who are considered impaired risks often are not able to obtain coverage. If an insurance company is willing to underwrite a policy for those with impaired risks, the premiums are much more expensive than a basic policy.

In recent years, however, insurance companies have begun to find ways to work with people that have health problems, or impaired risks even cancer survivors. It is important to seek out term life insurance companies who specialize in impaired risk coverage rather than generalists. Getting cancer survivor or impaired risk insurance has never been easier or more affordable.

How to Obtain Your Coverage

There is good news about term life insurance companies who specialize in cancer survivor and impaired risk term life insurance: they do not operate with a generalized health check list or have blanket requirements to obtain a policy. Each case is evaluated individually. So, as a cancer survivor you would be subject to a thorough health evaluation. You may even be required to submit medical forms signed by your physician stating your current health status. If you are in remission and otherwise lead a healthy lifestyle, basic coverage should no longer be a problem.

Additionally, up-to-date insurance companies now employ a method called clinical medical underwriting. Whereas prior to this new system, insurance companies would use a standard mortality table based on 30 year old data, this process takes into consideration all the current medical advances and lifestyle choices that allow people with medical/disability problems to live long and productive lives. Insurance companies now base their cancer survivor impaired risk term life insurance policy rates on being more informed on individual cases. This means that you will hopefully be able to obtain the best coverage for the least amount of money.

If for some reason you are unable to obtain a term life insurance policy for impaired risk, do not worry. You are always eligible for a guaranteed issue policy. This type of coverage is expensive but they do not require a medical exam and there are no health questions on the application.

Ovarian Cancer

Every year, 6,800 new cases of ovarian cancer are discovered in the UK, and there are about 4,650 deaths per year caused by the ovarian cancer. About 50 percent of ovarian cancer patients are already at an advanced stage by the time a correct diagnosis is made. She said I had had Stage IIIc ovarian cancer and she did not know if there was lymph node involvement.

Women who have a prior history of breast cancer will also have an increased risk of developing ovarian cancer at some time in their life. It is also said to be that women is at high risk in her advanced age.

Some other factors are: A family history of osteoporosis. Abnormal absence of menstrual periods (amenorrhea). Anorexia nervosa. Vitamin D deficiency. Use of certain medications (corticosteroids, chemotherapy, anticonvulsants and others).

The statistics for osteoporosis related fractures is downright scary - according to the NOF, A woman's risk of hip fracture is equal to her combined risk of breast, uterine and ovarian cancer. One study linked dairy products to an increased risk of ovarian cancer.

It has been observed that the majority of women with epithelial ovarian cancer are not diagnosed early enough. Note that radiation is rarely used in ovarian cancer treatment. In most instances, different kinds of anticancer drugs are prescribed in combination in order to speed up ovarian cancer treatment.

The surgical procedure to remove the bladder is known as a cystectomy and is usually performed as a result of cancer of the bladder. You can also have radiation and chemotherapy treatment which is used to treat bladder cancer. If the cancer is in the muscle of the bladder then surgery is performed to remove it.

Cystectomy is considered a very aggressive treatment option and may not be the best option for everyone. Those who have superficial tumors may respond better to a more conservative treatment. A cystectomy is considered a major surgical procedure and the patient is put under general anesthesia. There is a small incision made on the lower abdomen.

The ureters are found, tied, and cut. The ureters connect the bladder to the kidneys, so cutting them frees the bladder for the removal process. The bladder as well as other associated organs are then removed. In male patients the prostate is removed along with the bladder. In women patients the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and part of the vagina are also removed with the bladder removal process.

The bladder of a healthy person collects urine from the kidneys for excretion at a later time. When the bladder has been removed the doctors must come up with a new method to remove urine from the body. In many cases a small portion of the small intestine is removed, cleaned, and tied at one end to become the form of a tube. After this the other end is then used to form a stoma, which is an opening through the abdominal wall to outside the body. The patient is required to wear a bag to collect the urine.

Before the procedure is performed a member of the medical staff will discuss the entire procedure and can tell the patient where the stoma will be on their body and what it will look like. The patient will also get all the information they need on how to care for a stoma and bag. Counseling may be discussed and there may be a period of fasting required as well as an enema.

After going through a successful operation the patient will be given fluid based nutritional drinks until the intestines begin to function normally. You are also given antibiotics to prevent infection of the incision area. When a person's organs are removed it means that there will be major lifestyle changes after the procedure.

After this procedure women are infertile as a result of the ovaries and uterus being removed, but it is more common for women to have a cystectomy are postmenopausal and are far past their child baring days. Men are impotent because the nerves that control penis erection are cut during the removal process of the bladder.

The patient must be fitted with an external bad that connects to the stoma and is used to collect urine. These bags are usually worn around the waist and are easily hidden under clothes. It may take a while to get used to wearing a bag but since there isn't a bladder urine is excreted when it is produced, which is continuously.

New research in the August Issue of Physics Today explains how low-intensity electric fields can disrupt the division of cancer cells and slow the growth of brain tumors. The team of researchers used alternating electric fields that shift electric particles in cells back and forth hundreds of thousands of times per second. These low-intensity alternating electric fields were once thought to only heat cells but after several years of experiments, the researchers have shown the fields to disrupt cell division in tumor cells placed on a glass dish.

After studying the effect of electricity in vitro and in labratory animals, the researchers began a small human clinical trial. The technique was applied to ten patients with glioblastoma multiforme, a type of brain cancer with a low survival rate. The researchers fitted the patients with electrodes that applied 200 kHz electric fields to the scalp at regular intervals for up to 18 hours a day. The cancer was observed to be progressing to advanced stages at a much slower rate (a median of 26 weeks) and in some cases even regressed. Typical time for tumor progression is 10 weeks and 3 of the 10 patients were still alive two years after the electrode therapy started.

Electric field therapy is found to have two effects on tumor cells. First, it slows down cell division by disrupting the formation and function of a key cell structure known as the mitotic spindle. Second, the electric field can sometimes cause the daughter cells to self destruct by forcing structures and molecules away from its infrastructure before the cell splits away from its partner . Electrode therapy poses little danger to normal brain tissue, because healthy brain cells do not divide. Researchers are now investigating the possibilities of combining electric fields with low-dose chemotherapy.

All tissues have linings around them to keep the different cell types (those of the tissue and those outside the tissue) separate. In instances where angiogenesis has occured, the tumor cells may break through these linings which act as boundaries limiting normal growth. This is termed tumor invasion.

An invasive tumor breaks through the membrane, or the lining of the tissue. Several events must occur in order for a tumor to become invasive. First, a tumor cell must actually break away from the rest of the tissue mass. It will then need to move toward the lining of the tissue. The cell moves by extending little blebs or “fingers” that allow it to crawl along in a specific direction - similar to the way a snail moves.

Once at the membrane, the tumor cell will have to release several particular enzymes, all acting to dissolve the membrane lining away. If this can be achieved, the tumor cell will move into the new space on the other side of the membrane. It will have broken the normal limits of cell growth in the tissue.

The invasion by the tumor will allow it to spread to another tissue type or possibly a capillary. Capillaries may lead to a blood vessel, which would grant the tumor cell access to the blood stream. If this happens, metastasis, or tumor spreading may occur.

Metastasis is the most serious stage of cancer. Tumor metastasis occurs when a few tumor cells have separated from the tumor mass and have “seeded” themselves at one or more new regions in the body. Once in this new area, they will multiply and eventually crowd out the normal cells. At some point, nearby tissues and organs may become so crowded they will not be capable of performing the functions necessary to maintain life.

Metastasis occurs when tumor cells move away and seed themselves in tissues that are distant from the original tumor. Most often, the tumor metastasizes to the lymph nodes nearest the tumor. The tumor cells travel to a new area by moving through the blood stream or the lymph stream of the immune system. The cells move through the blood or lymph stream until they reach a capillary wall. They make their way through it by dissolving the wall (or membrane) and moving through the space into the new tissue. In this manner, the tumor will “seed” itself to a new area.

Fortunately, the few tumor cells that do make their way into the bloodstream do not survive for very long in the blood. Less than 0.1% actually survive the journey to metastasize.

Oddly enough, most cases of metastasis are to only a few different tissues. Usually, the metastasis occurs to a patient’s lung or their lymph nodes. Researchers believe that certain chemicals may be released by these organs that somehow attract tumor cells. This is a currently an important area of study because many more patients could be treated successfully if metastasis could be stopped.

It has been estimated that about 50% of all cancer patients may have metastasis by the time they are finally diagnosed and treated. The chances of successfully treating metastatic disease with current therapies is less than the chance of successfully treating pre-metastatic disease. However, there are many instances where patients with even extremely severe cases of metastatic cancer are cured. With the numerous new discoveries, the chances of curing metastatic disease will only climb in the future.

When the alarm rings she slowly gets out of bed, turns on the shower and under the steady stream of warm water, she gently scrubs her body with Ammonia, Formaldehyde and Phenol.

Next, she shampoos her tinted hair with DEA and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

Rinsing out the shampoo, she applies a good amount of mutagenic DEA & Propylene Glycol and lets it penetrate while she pops the top on the shaving cream and shaves her legs with A-Pinene.

The shower finished, she towel dries and spreads on an even coat of Contaminant Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PHAs) and a dusting of an Asbestos Substance over her skin.

She sprays the scented Aluminum under her arms, brushes her teeth with FD&C Blue#1, Resorcinol, Saccharin, and Fluoride; with a trace of TriSodium Phosphate.

Then she rinses and gargles with Ethanol and Phenol Alcohol.

She combs setting gel through her hair then blows it dry and sprays it with polyvinylpyrrolidine(PVP).

Sitting at her vanity, she carefully applies a thin film of Phenol Carbolic Acid, Dioxin and Propylene Glycol, over her face to reduce the fine lines.

Today, she'll wear foundation and a little FD&C Red #3. And, better add some eye-Iron Oxide, for today she is attending a special meeting.

Oh, and add a little toxic and mutagenic Ascorbyl Palmitate to line her lids, and a stroke of
bacteria & Polyvinylpyrrolide (PVP) to her lashes.

A dab of Benzo-A-Pyrene and Benzo-B-Fluroanthene to color her lips. A spritz of her favorite scent,
Toluene and Benzaldehyde, and a little carcinogenic nitrosamine, NMPABAO on her face, arms and legs to block the suns rays.

Now, she is set for the day. She looks radiant... "breath-taking" beauty we call it... because her looks are literally KILLING HER!

Do These Ingredients listed above absorb through the skin? Well, if you're wondering if the chemicals mentioned above can absorb through skin, try this experiment... Get a clove of garlic. Cut it open and rub it on the bottom of your foot. See how long it takes for you to taste it in your mouth...

Take note that the skin is not a barrier that keeps chemicals and ingredients out. The skin absorbs
almost everything applied to it. [i.e. That is why nicotine patches and diet patches that are adhered
to the skin surface work.]

So What's The Cause For Alarm? What has the woman in the above scenario exposed herself to, in a matter of just minutes? What is really being put on and in the body by millions of unsuspecting people, every day?

Let's find out... Let's start with the innocent bar of soap...

* Bar Soap has a pH of 9, which removes the protective acid mantle of the skin making it more
alkaline and therefore, more vulnerable to penetration.

Bar Soap also contains Ammonia, Formaldehyde and Phenol, known carcinogens [cancer-causing agents], and Triclocarbans.

* Shampoo contains Cocamide DEA, which is associated with carcinogenic [cancer-causing] Nitrosamines and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, a known mutagen.

* Hair Tint contains Quaternium-15, which releases carcinogenic Formaldehyde and the carcinogen, Phenylenediamine.

* Conditioner contains DEA & Propylene Glycol both known mutagenic carcinogens.

* Shaving Cream contains a-Pinene, a chemical that damages the immune system.

*Body Lotion contains Mineral Oil, which, as a cosmetic grade Petroleum product, includes the contaminant Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PHAs) known as xenoestrogens that can mimic estrogen in the body.

*Dusting Powder contains Talc, a substance like Asbestos. When talc was combined with a common air pollutant, Benzo(a)pyrene, it induced tumors in 80% of the animals tested.

Many scientists believe Talc should be placed on the "known carcinogens" list.

*Deodorant has Aluminum, which is being tested in connection to Alzheimers.

*Toothpaste contains Saccharin and FD&C Blue#1, which are carcinogens.

It also contains Resorcinol, which can cause a blood disorder (methemoglobinemia), convulsions and death.

Fluoride is also a known carcinogen.

*TriSodium Phosphate, also found in some toothpastes, is a chemical primer that strips grease and dirt off walls and surfaces. It is so caustic that it warns the user to wear gloves at all times and to avoid any skin contact.

*Mouthwash contains 27% Ethanol, which is suspected of causing esophageal cancer.

It also contains Phenol, which can cause fatal poisonings through skin absorption.

*Hair Spray contains Polyvinylpyrrolidine (PVP) and reports show that it may cause harm if the particles are inhaled. Modest intravenous doses fed to rats caused tumors.

*Skin Moisturizer contains Phenol Carbolic Acid, which can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and death as a result of respiratory failure.

It also contains PEG-40, which contains dangerous levels of dioxin. And Propylene Glycol, which studies show can negatively alter brain waves and cause liver and kidney disorders.

*Blush contains FD&C Red #3, which caused human breast cells to grow, mimics the effect of natural estrogen at the molecular level and damages the genetic material of human breast cells.

*Eye shadow contains Iron Oxide, which is a suspected carcinogen, teratogen or toxin.

*Eyeliner, contains Ascorbyl Palmitate, and studies suggest that the Palmitates are to be considered carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic.

*Mascara may be contaminated with bacteria. It also contains Polyvinylpyrrolide (PVP), a carcinogen.

*Lipstick contains Paraffin, which is a mixture of Hydrocarbons and is derived from Petroleum. It is known to be contaminated with the carcinogens, Benzo-a-pyrene and Benzo-b-fluroanthene.

*Perfume contains Toluene, a suspected potent carcinogen that has been found in almost every fragrance tested, and Benzaldehyde, which is a central nervous system depressant that may cause kidney damage.

*Sunscreen contains Padimate O and the preservative, BNPD, which together create the carcinogenic nitrosamine, NMPABAO.

Did You Know...

According to recent DAILY USE estimates, 3 personal care products are used on infants and children daily.

Men use 10 personal care products daily.

Women use 6 cosmetics and 13 personal care products daily. Some products are used several times daily.

Assuming mainstream industry products each contain only 2 carcinogens, [cancer-causing agents], this results in daily exposures to 6 different AVOIDABLE
carcinogens for infants and children, 20 for men, and 38 for women DAILY.

And while ingredients are listed on product labels, there are NO warnings as to the CANCER risks from any of these ingredients.

It is UNTHINKABLE that women would knowingly continue to inflict such exposures on their infants, children; let alone on themselves, if products routinely used, were visibly labeled with explicit warnings of cancer risks.

So are you asking yourself... "why this has not yet been enforced by laws, that should be protecting bodycare product purchasing consumers?

Information about cancer treatment balding.

Hair loss during chemotherapy can be very embarrassing to many people and affect their self confidence. Considering the life and death aspects of chemotherapy as a cancer treatment, losing some of your hair rationally should be a minor issue. However, we don't always think very logically, and the psychological effects can be devastating as the hair loss brings home the disease inside to a very real outside manifestation of illness.

One of the worst and frequently reported side effects of chemotherapy is that it induces loss of hair, which is emotionally very upsetting both for men and women. However, in such cases the loss of hair and the degree of hair loss largely depends on type of medicines, quantity of dosages taken per day and period of medical treatment

Generally, the reasoning behind its occurrence is same as the reason why chemotherapy works for the treatment of cancer. Both cancer cells and type cells involved in hair growth are attacked rapidly by the drugs. The hair loss, in most cases, is temporary and it grows back on the completion of chemotherapy. It takes about one to two months for your hair to grow back after the end of chemotherapy. The initial color and texture of your hair may be different than before.

There is no certain way to avoid hair loss in chemotherapy, but there are a variety of methods which have shown some promise in dealing with the situation. Minoxidil (Rogaine being the best known brand) doesn't stop hair loss but there is some indication it might slow the loss and re-growth may happen faster. Another rather radical method is the application of ice packs to the scalp to during chemotherapy to slow the blood flow and attempt to minimize the damage to this area. There is some indication that this works to some extent in many people but it is reportedly uncomfortable and may have some increased risk of cancer in that area due to the same reason it reduces the chemotherapy hair loss.

You can lessen the visual impact of hair loss during chemotherapy treatments on your life by thinking ahead. Before beginning treatments, you should not do anything that could cause damage to your hair, such as coloring, bleaching or any other chemical process. Try to think ahead and decide if you are going to want to wear a wig during your treatments, or if you are simply going to cut your hair short or if you want to go ahead and shave your hair prior to treatment.

Women today are more concerned than ever about preventing breast cancer. There is much speculation about how our lifestyle and habits affect our chances of contracting this and other cancers. Well, there are many risk factors that can make you more prone to breast cancer, but there are also things you can do to prevent breast cancer.

First, it’s important to have a healthy diet. Avoiding processed foods and eating a diet that is low in saturated fats and high in fruits, vegetables and fish. These foods can keep your weight in check and protect your health by providing vitamins and fiber.

In addition to these foods being healthy and fiber rich, they also provide significant anti-oxidants. Anti-oxidants are extremely important to slowing down the aging process and preventing disease.

Each day as our body converts food to energy, it creates oxygen carrying molecules called free radicals. If free radicals are not eliminated from the body, they damage our cells and our DNA. This cell damage is partially responsible for a multitude of diseases, including cancer.

Anti-oxidants are important because they rid the body of free radicals. Since free radicals are created daily, they should be eliminated daily, too. But, because our diets have become so laden with processed food, many of us don’t consume enough anti-oxidants each day.

So, protecting our health means we have to make changes in our lifestyle. Watching what we eat and drink can put us in the best position to combat aging as it creeps up on us.

While you’re taking stock of what’s in your pantry, don’t forget to include looking at what you drink. You need a good dose of anti-oxidants each day, and many of us just don’t consume enough fruits and vegetables to get our daily requirement.

Well, it turns out that drinking tea and coffee can be a great way to increase your anti-oxidants and improve your health- particularly your resistance to breast cancer. There have been many studies that have reported the benefits of green tea, but one recent study suggested that there may be benefits to drinking black tea and coffee, too.

The study I’m referring to was conducted at the Gifu School of Medicine in Japan. The study was conducted on pre-menopausal women. This study looked at the hormone level of 50 Japanese women during different days of their menstrual cycle. They found that in women who consumed tea, coffee and even caffeinated cola had a higher level of the sex hormone binding globulin on critical days of their cycle than the women who did not consume these beverages.

Why Is This Important?

The level of binding globulin is important because low levels of this hormone in pre-menopausal women have been associated with a higher risk of developing breast cancer. So, it appears that drinking your daily intake of caffeine may help your body produce a higher level of binding globulin and help protect you from breast cancer.

Which of These Beverages Should I Drink?

In this particular study, researchers found no difference in the binding globulin level between those who drank coffee, tea or even cola. It seemed to be the consumption of caffeinated beverages of any kind that caused the level of binding globulin to rise.

However, many other studies have shown that in addition to having caffeine, green tea has many other health protecting qualities, as well. Remember how important we just said that anti-oxidants are to our diet?

Well, it just so happens that green tea has an extraordinary level of very potent anti-oxidants. Black tea and coffee have anti-oxidants, too; but nothing to compare to the level and potency you’ll find in green tea. (Cola, by the way, does not contain anti-oxidants.)

Though green and black tea both come from the camellia sinensis plant, green tea is healthier because of the way it’s processed. Black tea is fermented, which changes the structure of the anti-oxidants, making them less effective and potent. Green tea is not fermented (nor is white), so it retains anti-oxidants in their most natural and potent state.

And, for those of you who might be sensitive to caffeine; you’ll be happy to know that green tea has less caffeine than coffee or black tea. But, clearly it has enough caffeine to increase your level of binding globulin sufficiently. Remember, the study cited above showed no difference between green tea drinkers and other caffeinated beverage drinkers in terms of the level of binding globulin.

Making Changes You Can Continue

So, if you’re interested in reducing your breast cancer risk, you need to make some changes to your lifestyle to help protect your health. Watch your diet; be sure you’re getting the recommended amount of fresh fruits and vegetables each day.

You should also be sure to add some sort of caffeinated beverage to your diet, if you’re not already drinking some. And, to boost both your anti-oxidants and get your caffeine at the same time, make that beverage green tea.

Make lifestyle changes that you can commit to- otherwise you’ll be unlikely to keep up with them. It might not be realistic for you to say that you’re going to immediately increase your intake of vegetables from none each day to five servings. But, if you can consistently eat two servings each day, then you’ve still made an improvement. And, perhaps later you can work up to five servings.

Small changes over time are the best way to ensure that you’ll continue your new healthy habits. Reduce your number of processed foods and increase your intake of fruits, vegetables and green tea slowly over time. This way, you won’t feel overwhelmed and be tempted to quit.

Smoking can also increase your risk for cancer. We all know that smoking makes us likely candidates for lung cancer, but what many people don’t know is that smoking increases your overall risk for cancer. Smoke is toxic to your body, and can increase your risk of any cancer, including breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the US. This year, over 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and over 40,000 will die from it.** It pays to understand how to protect your health and reduce your risk of contracting this disease.

There are all kinds of diets and food plans out there. Ask just about any women and she’ll tell you to name a diet and she’ll have been on it. There’s a grape diet, a cabbage soup diet, which is fun for all concerned and an eat anything you like but stop at 4pm diet. We’re all heard of the Atkins diet and we’ve probably all heard of the low GI diet, both are quite popular at the moment. There is, however, one diet that no one should ever like to be on and that is the eating for cancer diet. The obvious prerequisite is that you should have cancer of some kind and be about to undergo treatment.

The right kind of food and proper nutrition can help a cancer patient feel better, stay stronger and even cope with the side effects of treatment. It is best to seek the advice of a registered dietician before undergoing treatment for cancer but below are a few handy tips for you to consider.

Before treatment (http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/eatinghints) patients need to build up a stock of bodily reserves so they need a diet high in calories and high in proteins such as milk, cream, cheese, eggs, sauces, gravies and to have their food cooked in more butter, oil or margarine. They may need to eat less fibre as this might aggravate upset stomachs or sore mouths. This is the time to treat the patient. Food is pleasure and should be treated as such. Make meal times as fun as possible, if there are children present include them in the preparation of the meal. Prepare everyone’s favourite meal once a week; include at least one of the patient’s favourite dishes in each meal. Think positively and keep an optimistic attitude, this increases the appetite, at the very least it will stop the appetite from decreasing.

Even though it has been said that you must eat food high in calories and fry the hell out of it, it must now also be added that you need to try to eat as healthily as possibly. It seems very contradictory but if you include your daily 5 portions of fruit and veg and get all your fats your should be doing ok. This will help build up your reserves to prevent body tissue from breaking down during treatment and to maintain your defenses against infection.

During treatment you may find that your tastes change, do not be afraid to try new types food or of cooking food in new ways with new spices and seasonings. Do whatever it takes to keep your food intake up. You may find that your appetite is better during certain times of the day and not at others, use this knowledge wisely and eat bigger meals when your appetite is at its largest. When you feel that you can’t eat try meal replacement drinks. It is also a good idea to try and eat several small meals throughout the day rather than 3 solid meals.

For nausea try and eat toast, crackers or pretzels; yoghurt, cream of wheat, oatmeal; rice, boiled potatoes, noodles; skinned chicken baked or broiled. For an upset stomach sodium and potassium is very important try and eat bananas, potatoes and drink sports drinks also; yoghurt, cottage cheese; rice, noodles, potatoes; eggs – well cooked; smooth peanut butter; white bread, skinned chicken.

After treatment it is important to stay healthy, ease off the high calorie and high fat foods, lower your protein intake and gradually increase your fibre. A healthy diet will increase the speed at which you recover from your treatment and it will help to ensure that the cancer does not return.

The top 5 healthiest foods according to http://www.healthcastle.com are:

1) Salmon – high in protein and omega 3 fatty acids, the good cholesterol.

2) Soy – High in protein, amino acids, calcium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, magnesium, B vitamins, omega and fibre

3) Greens – Vitamins A & C, iron, calcium and phytonutrients, fibre

4) Berries – Vitamin C, fibre, phytonutrients, rich in antioxidants

5) Whole grains – antioxidants, B vitamins, vitamin E, magnesium, iron

Diet plays a very important role in cancer treatment and healthiest foods. Its role is both physical and psychological. When you eat well you feel well. When you don’t eat and when you feel nauseas all the time, you feel like you are sick and like all the hope is being sucked out of your world. So do like the title says and eat for a brighter tomorrow.

Considering that 1 in 250 men will be diagnosed with testicular cancer at one point or another, knowing which testicular cancer symptoms to look for can be a life saving bit of knowledge. When you think about it, the statistics are staggering. Not only is testicular cancer fairly common, but it can affect any age group. While you're most likely to be diagnosed with testicular cancer while you're in the 15 to 40 age bracket, everyone from infants to the elderly are at risk. On the bright side, testicular cancer is one of the less deadly forms of the ailment. The mortality rate for testicular cancer as a whole is only around 10 percent, and when it is caught in the earliest stage that number drops to approximately 5 percent.

Still, many people have died from it and it doesn't matter how healthy you are. Take, for instance, Lance Armstrong. The man was a living legend and had won the Tour De France several times when he was diagnosed at the peak of his career. While he ended up living through it, testicular cancer was almost the end of this American Hero. As a result, a huge movement started with people buying and wearing yellow rubber LiveStrong wrist bands. Aimed at raising awareness, the little yellow bands did their job. All that, and many people still don't know many of the testicular cancer symptoms.

If you're unfamiliar with testicular cancer symptoms, please hop online and look them up. There are several of them, many of which are relatively obvious. Others, however, might not send up as many red flags. For example, did you know that dull pain in your lower abdomen is a symptom of testicular cancer? I certainly didn't, until I did my homework. I suggest you do some of your own, it could just save your life one day.

Devil Facial Tumour Disease (referred to as DFTD) is the name given to a fatal condition that is afflicting a significant portion of the native population of Tasmanian devils. The condition first becomes noticed as small lesions or lumps around the mouth that develops into large tumours predominantly around the face and neck, but sometimes in other parts of the body as well.

DFTD was first reported in the mid 1990’s and has now been confirmed in most areas throughout Tasmania except for north-west and west coast devil populations. It is having a major impact in areas with high-density populations, and is predominantly affecting the adult populations. The disease does not usually become apparent in devils until they are at least two years old. The cancers affect the capability of the devil to ingest food thereby weakening the animal and making it more difficult for it to compete with other animals for food. Evidence suggests that animals appear to die within three to five months of the lesions first appearing, from starvation and the breakdown of body functions.

There are three well-known types of malignant skin tumours. In all of them the ultraviolet rays from the sun plays a significant etiological role. The most common one is basal cell carcinoma or basaloma, which does not metastasize and is the more benign of the three types. Sometimes it grows very aggressively with a great tendency for recurrence, and destroys underlying tissue, bone, cartilage etc., with pronounced cosmetic and functional defects as a consequence.

A facial tumour disease is continuing to ravage Tasmania's wild devils, with almost half of the devil population believed lost to the disease. Fears the disease is spreading have been realised, with 3 new cases discovered in the south of the state.

Malignant melanoma is the type of tumour presently increasing the most in incidence. It spreads both through lymphatic pathways and hematogenously, and in the long term has a bad prognosis, especially if the tumour is not discovered until it has grown deep into the skin. It is usually pigmented by the melanin in the melanocytes. This may not always be the case, as so-called amelanotic , i e not blue or brown colored, melanomas exist.

The disease has now spread across 65 per cent of the state, with 3 new cases discovered in southern Tasmania. The disease is across the eastern part of the state and extends as far west as the Cradle Valley, and also down into the south of the state. To date we haven't recorded the disease on the west coast or in the far north-west, so it's in the eastern parts of the state that the disease is having the greatest impact.

More and more people are surviving cancer than ever before. cancer is no longer the death sentence it once was. Cancer treatments in the past were sometimes drastic and devastating. Surgery that used to involve a large incision can now be accomplished through a small incision using a surgical probe that allows surgeons to see and remove cancerous tissue without the trauma of major surgery.

Radiation therapy has advanced as well. More sophisticated equipment and technology does less damage to the surrounding tissues. New discoveries and developments have brought about new and more effective medicines with less side effects. This and other advancements have been brought about by ongoing cancer research.

Cancer Research UK is one research organization based in the United Kingdom. It is one of the few independent organizations devoted to cancer research in the world. One of the goals of this organization and others like it is to gain a better understanding of the various types of cancer. By doing so they can then develop better medicines and treatments to fight cancer.

Only through a better understanding of cancer can advancements in these areas be made.Research is the step by step process that is done by collecting and examining data on cancer. It almost always involves a quest for new information that can help to develop a new drug or treatment or hopefully some day an actual cure for cancer.

Research can involve the study of its basic biology to the effects of treatments. Another area of research involves the testing of drugs that have already been developed. Before a drug is made available to the public it must undergo years of testing to make sure it is safe and effective. Right now there are drugs undergoing testing that in years to come will be available for use but researchers must first determine their overall effect on the cancer patients who use them.

Most people don't realize just how many different types of cancer there are, each with its different problems in treating it. So there has to be many different areas of research to develop treatments for them. Cancer Research UK supports over three-thousand researchers and the work they are doing.

The one true key to successful cancer research is money. One ongoing job for nonprofit cancer research organizations is raising the funds to support the work they are doing. Anyone can help cancer research by making a donation to any of the nonprofit cancer research centers. In this way you can do your part to help find better treatments and hopefully some day a cure for the disease.Another way to help is to take part in a clinical trial of a new drug or treatment.

Another area of cancer research is focused on the relieving of the symptoms of the cancer. Until a cure is found people with cancer have to endure the symptoms of the disease. The first one that come so mind is pain but there are many others such as dietary and nutritional special problems cancer patients face.

Learning how to better keep cancer patients pain free, happy and healthy is another area of ongoing cancer research. There too many areas of cancer research to cover here but we have covered a few. Only through cancer research can progress be made in understanding its causes, how to prevent it and eventually a cure.

Most people think that once the cancer has been treated and chemotherapy and surgery are no longer needed, the ordeal has come to an end. But, this is far from true. Cancer is a life-changing disease and returning to a normal life after treatment is very difficult. As a cancer survivor, you are probably exhausted, afraid, depressed, have trouble sleeping or performing the simplest tasks. The key to healing is gradually regaining control of your life, step by step. Try focusing on the fact that you emerged victorious in the battle against cancer. And if you can do that, you can do ANYTHING.

Tackle each day at a time. Make a conscious effort to appreciate the little things. Indulge in a hobby that will occupy your mind like gardening, listening to music, learning pottery or art or how to play a musical instrument, writing poetry, cooking. Make exercise a part of your daily routine. If strength permits, walk, jog, swim, go hiking, ride a bike, or just fool around with the kids. If possible, join a volunteer program at one of the NGOs in your city. Helping those less fortunate than yourself will give your life a sense of purpose.

Join a cancer support group. A support group is normally led by a doctor, counselor, psychiatrist, or social institution. Being a part of a group can be comforting and give you hope because its members know and understand what you have been through. You can talk about your fears, listen to survival stories, and get tips on how to deal with your life after cancer. Ask your doctor or hospital about a support group in your area. There are also many online support groups with cancer survivors from around the world. If you prefer a more individual approach, you could see a counsellor or a therapist to help you cope with your feelings. Most importantly look for support in your friends and family. Talk to them and let them know your fears, what your are going through and what should they do. Many times families are confused about what they should do. A strong support group can help you steer through your cancer aftermath and emerge a winner – which you really are, you have survived cancer!

It’s tough getting back on your feet again. Give yourself time and space to heal and remember that the worst is behind you.

Good health is not a struggle, nor it is an extraordinary feat. Healthy living is about understanding what your body needs and what is good for it. If you want the results of being healthy to live Cancer Free For Life, you need to find the causes of health and follow them. You need to understand the reasons why you get sick and avoid those. Of course, this approach is in direct conflict with the more conventional philosophy of medicine that believes disease is a matter of bad luck, where people have "risks" of disease that only occur by chance.

Conventional medicine wants you to think that disease happens to you purely by chance and that you have no control over it. “It’s just bad luck. There’s a flu epidemic.” But the reality is that disease (or a lack thereof) is entirely under your control. If you wish to be healthy and to remain Cancer Free For Life, there are certain things you can do that reliably and consistently produce a healthy outcome. And if you wish to be diseased, there are other things you can do to reliably and consistently produce disease. Researchers have found that there is a cancer personality and that there are personality traits of people who have cancer, and that there are traits unique to people who are super healthy, and have remained Cancer Free For Life. These are described in great detail in the second chapter of the book Cancer Free For Life, and there are clear steps and explanations for you to determine what personality you have, and how to change it. This book is available on http://cancer-free-for-life.com. Visit us there.

It fascinates me that some people are more prone to cancer while others can remain Cancer Free For Life, even if they have cancer in their family for instance. Out of all of the research I’ve conducted in the past few years, the most astounding thing I've discovered is not one particular herb or nutritional supplement, but rather that the best and most powerful healing strategies, or what I call health habits, are available to you free of charge.

Some people drink grape juice or swallow massive doses of vitamin C; others pray, take herbal remedies, or simply cheer themselves on. These very diverse patients all have one thing in common, though. At a certain point in their disease, they suddenly knew, with complete certainty, that they were going to get better, as if the disease were simply a mirage, and they suddenly passed beyond it into a space where fear and despair and all sickness were nonexistent.

The entered the place called perfect health and spontaneous remission. The found a place where they could be Cancer Free For Life. Was it spontaneous? Did it just happen?

I have spent these past years looking for what causes disease, and to find the healing mechanisms in the body. I have found that it is the same way that thousands of documented cases of people who recover from cancer, leukemia, arthritis and many other diseases use to put their disease ‘in remission’ and beat all the doctors’ prognostis. I become fascinated with the healing system that doesn’t appear in any medical books. I discovered there is a way to remain Cancer Free For Life.

Less than a third of old people show no sign of cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, and other generative disorders endemic to old age. Who heals the sick person anyway? And why are we not allowed to use the word “Cure”? Are people with extraordinary health super-humans, or do they have abilities we can all share and learn from? Imagine if we were taught simple disease prevention habits and strategies that cost absolutely nothing, are easy to obtain, and work to improve the health of everyone, regardless of genetic makeup or background.

All in one book, I have combined the results of the ancient healing techniques that have been forgotten. I share with you the aspects of quantum physics that I have discovered make us healthy. And it’s not rocket science. I explain in clear terms how you can use them for your own life. This book is available for immediate downloading at www.cancer-free-for-life.com . And as you may have guessed from the title of this book, it's all about ways that you can apply right away to take care of your health.

I must tell you right away that there is no such things as "miracle" shortcuts to health. There is no such thing as a magic weight loss pill. There is no such thing as results without effort. Where you find yourself today is the result of years of abuse to your body. You need to start changing that by making changes to your life. Cancer has been or can be your wake up call. Your life WILL change. There are some strategies that are far smarter than others. There are strategies that have a big payoff, versus others that have a small payoff.

Cancer Free For Life focuses on those strategies and methods that are available to you with the least amount of effort. It's not about taking shortcuts; it's about being efficient.

Having a hysterectomy is major surgery and it does take time to recover after having one to avoid complications. This is why the hysterectomy recovery time period is so important. When you first wake up you will feel weak and tired. Your vital signs will be monitored regularly and you will need to begin sitting up on the second day. The more you move around the better as this helps to improve your circulation and helps to eliminate the possibilities of dangerous blood clots. After a few days you will begin to eat and drink more on your own and your strength should be building back up to normal.

Within ten days you should be improving and as soon as your doctor feels you are strong enough, you will be released from the hospital. However, the care does not stop here, it is important that you continue your recovery at home. Due to the anaesthetic you were given for the surgery it will be several weeks before you get all your strength back and it may be difficult for you to think and concentrate. You certainly will not be able to drive or do anything that requires lifting and straining. It will take some time before your abdominal muscles cure and get back to normal.

Anytime during your hysterectomy recovery time period you need to rest anytime that you begin to feel tired. Do not overdo it and push to hard. Have family members and friends help you with the things that need to be done at home. You can slowly begin to build up your strength by adding to your activities each day. You can start doing light exercises such as walking around. Begin with just a few minutes and add a little more each day. During your recovery time it is normal to experience some vaginal discharge and some women may experience some depression symptoms.

To make sure that everything is going as it should you will need to return back to your doctor for a six week check up. At this time he will tell you how well you are recovering. If things are going good then you can get a list of exercises that will help you to get your body back in shape. Just make sure that you don't overwork yourself and push to hard, this can cause a delay in your recovery time. Build up your exercise routine slowly and if you experience anything that does not feel right, then contact your health care provider.

Dont put your recovery on hold to clean the house. Hysterectomy recovery time is vital to your health. Learn more at http://www.hysterectomyresources.com/Hysterectomy-Recovery-Time.html

There are several ways of giving radiation dosage to a cancerous tumor. The most common method is to deliver the required dosage from an external beam of radiation produced outside the body. In this case the source of radiation beam is located 80-100 cm from the body of the person receiving radiation. Sometimes placing the source of radiation within the tumor might have advantages over delivering radiation from an external source. This method of delivering required radiation from an internal source embedded within the tumor is called brachytherapy.

If you are aware of the inverse square law in physics you would know the dosage of radiation therapy delivery changes by a great proportion depending upon the distance of the radiation source to the intended target. In brachytherapy the source of radiation is within the tumor volume and the proper placement of these sources of radiation within the tumor is of crucial importance.

There are several radioactive isotopes used in the brachytherapy. These include radium-226, cesium-137, cobalt-60, iridium192, iodine-125, gold-198 and palladium-103. Radium has a longer half-life compared to some of the other radioactive isotopes. In the past radium was the primary isotope used in brachytherapy, but recently radium has been largely replaced by cesium, gold and iridium, which have relatively shorter half-life and lower energies and because of this the radiation from these isotopes can be easily shielded.

Brachytherapy can be delivered with devices known as implants. These devices may be in the form of needles or seeds or ribbons. Brachytherapy can be delivered with permanent or temporary implants. These implants might be temporary or permanent. Temporary implants usually have a longer half-life and higher energies compared to the permanent implants. All temporary implants are inserted into the tumor during surgery. The duration of treatment for the temporary implant is usually 1-3 days.

Interstitial low-dose rate (LDR) brachytherapy is usually used for cancers involving the mouth and oral cavity, pharynx. This mode of treatment is often used in the treatment of sarcomas. Prostate cancer treatment is the most common form of LDR brachytherapy using seeds. Uterine cancer is the most common application of intracavitary LDR treatment. These patients are often isolated to prevent radiation exposure to nursing and other supportive staff during the care of the person.

The most common uses of high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy includes treatment of esophageal cancer, lung cancer and recently breast cancer and prostate cancer. Most HDR treatments are done as outpatient procedures allowing the patients to return to home the same day as treatment. Patients who are receiving treatment for prostate cancer is an exception who may remain in the hospital for 2-3 days during the treatment.

For well over half a century we have been promised by mainstream medicine that a cure or major breakthrough for cancer was just around the corner. Every year we see promising new drugs and therapies announced. Yet every year we also see more people contract cancer and more people die of cancer.

Instead of focusing on natural and safe methods of prevention and treatment, we continue to treat by using surgery, chemotherapy and radiation to cut out, poison out and burn out the symptoms of cancer while leaving the underlying causes untreated - and we continue to largely ignore the role that proper diet, nutrition and lifestyle plays in preventing and helping cure cancer.

Although surgery does have some success against a limited number of cancers, chemo and radiation achieve at best a 3% increase in length of survival and true cures from cancer (meaning that the patient becomes completely cancer free and the cancer never returns). The fact is that for those who are diagnosed with cancer, after the third year the survival rate for those who had no treatment at all increases steadily and for those who had mainstream treatment it decreases steadily.

Despite the dismal record, those in the $300 Billion a year cancer industry appear determined to maintain a stranglehold on treatment. One way they do so is to suppress natural alternatives. Another is to misreport their success rates by altering statistics to make their success appear to be much better than it actually is.

Here are six ways that mainstream medicine misreports their statistics:

1. By re-defining "cure" as "alive five years after diagnosis: instead of using the word's real meaning, which is "cancer-free". Thus a patient could still have cancer the entire five years and die one day after the 5th anniversary date of diagnosis and still be recorded as a cure.

2. By simply omitting certain groups of people, such as African Americans, or by omitting certain types of cancer, such as all lung cancers patients, from their statistical calculations.

3. By including types of cancer that are not life-threatening and are easily curable, such as skin cancers and DCIS.

The statistics most commonly reported include many such easily curable cancers, such as localized cancers of the cervix, non-spreading cancers and melanomas, as well as "cancers" that many feel are not true cancers at all, merely pre-cances. For example, DCIS is a pre-cancerous condition that is 99% curable and makes up 30% of all breast cancers. Deduct that 30% from the breast cancer cure rates and survival statistics and and the figures are much less impressive.

4. By allowing earlier detection to erroneously imply longer survival.

5. By deleting patients from cancer treatment studies who die too soon, even if that is on the 89th day of a 90 day chemotherapy protocol.

6. By using a questionable adjustment called "relative survival rate" where they get to deduct a certain number of cancer victims who statistics say would have died during the five years of other causes such as heart attacks, car wrecks, etc.

These outrageous "fudges", as Ms. Harter too kindly calls them, have all been incorporated into cancer cure statistics to hide the fact that the war on cancer has been hopelessly lost and wrongly waged. In the opinion of many who are far more knowledgeable and qualified than I am, the so-called War on Cancer is little more than a hoax.

"Everyone should know that most cancer research is largely a fraud and that the major cancer research organisations are derelict in their duties to the people who support them." - Linus Pauling PhD (Two-time Nobel Prize winner).

"The National Anti-Cancer Program is a bunch of sh*t." - James Watson, Nobel Laureate for Medicine in 1962 , joint discoverer of the double helix of DNA, and for two years a member of the US Joint Advisory Committee on Cancer

When it comes to mainstream successes, of the three major mainstream treatment methods, surgery is the only one with respectable success rates and even then it is only successful the vast majority of the time in those who have operable types of cancer that has not yet metastisized at the time of diagnosis - and most cancers are not detected prior to metastisizing.

When it comes to Chemo, in the words of Dr. Ralph Moss:

"Chemo has some success in a few kinds of cancer, but in the conventional cancers which chemotherapy sometimes "works" such as small-cell lung cancers, the actual survival benefit is reckoned in weeks or months, not in years. And during this time, the patient is likely to experience major, even life threatening, side effects from the treatment, so the overall advantage to the patient is moot."

Radiation results are even more dismal. In some studies, patients who opted for radiation have had lower survival rates than those who did not have radiation.

Another common deception of mainstream medicine is to quote "response rates", which is defined as having a 50% tumor shrinkage for a period of twelve months. It has nothing to do with cure rates or long term survival, but it is the statistic that is often quoted to patient by their oncologists.

Yet another deception is the use of the term "remission" to imply cure, when it is nothing of the sort. As "the Cancer Tutor" Webster Kehr writes in "The War Between Orthodox Medicine and Alternative Medicine"

First of all, the National Cancer Institute defines "remission" as:

"A decrease in or disappearance of signs and symptoms of cancer. In partial remission, some, but not all, signs and symptoms of cancer have disappeared. In complete remission, all signs and symptoms of cancer have disappeared, although cancer still may be in the body." NCI - http://www.nci.nih.gov/dictionary/db_alpha.aspx?expand=R What exactly does this definition mean relative to the three "treatment decision criteria" . . . You, the citizen, are supposed to assume that "remission" means a person is cured of their cancer. But that is not what the definition states. It states there is an absence of "signs and symptoms." So is there a correlation between the absence of "signs and symptoms" and the three treatment decision criteria above?

Generally, the determination of remission is based on a reduction in the size of the tumor or in the change of some tumor marker. These things may indicate the number of cancer cells in the body, but they are very, very crude estimates of the number of cancer cells in the body. These numbers also do not measure the pain and suffering of the patient (i.e. the quality of life) or the status of the immunity system, which is very, very important if all of the cancer cells have not been killed.

And then there is what is likely the greatest mainstream deception of all: the millions of people who are diagnosed with cancer, but actually die from the damages done by chemotherapy and radiation, most frequently major organ failure. All of those deaths are recorded as due to cancer. Though that does not bolster the mainstream cancer treatment success rates, it helps hide the dangers and deaths due to mainstream treatments.

It should be plain that the war against cancer is not being won - and to continue to claim otherwise after over half a century begs the question of why such obviously false and misleading claims and statistics. In this respect, one is reminded of the Vietnam War, where we were told that we won every battle and that we killed many more of the enemy in every skirmish. And yet the war was a failure and in the end we admitted it, stopped deceiving the public, and moved on to a different approach to stop the needless loss of lives. Today it appears that the war with Iraq will ultimately end the same way.

The war against cancer has lasted much longer and we have lost millions and millions of lives. After over half a century of failure, one has to ask how long will it take to admit it, stop deceiving the public, and move on to a different approach to stop the needless loss of lives?
